About

My name is Ellen M. Ryan. I am a highly qualified consultant in archives and preservation management, grant writing, genealogy, and historical research with over 27 years of experience working in museums and archives, with historical societies, in historic preservation, and with over 40 years of experience conducting genealogy research.

I have had an interest in and a passion for, history, preservation, architecture, and genealogy since I was young, and have been fortunate enough to be able to combine all of my interests into a career. Whether I am conducting my own research projects or assisting others with theirs, this is what I love to do. To learn more about my educational background and work experience, please see my cv below.

If you have any questions about any of the services offered or there is one you do not see listed, please contact me and we will set up a time to talk.

In my spare time, you will find me tapping into my creative side, either working on renovating my 1943 house, drawing, photographing landscapes and old buildings, gardening, reading a good book, or hanging out with my dogs, Missy and Charlie.
